From June 15-19, 2026 AlbaNovus will organize a Workshop on Foundations of AI. The workshop is co-sponsored by CDATA and will be hosted by the University of Vlora.
Two courses will run during the workshop:
1. An Introductory Course – Data Sciences and AI, co-taught by Richard Ressler and Michael Robinson of American University in Washington DC, and
2. An Advanced Course- AI in Depth, co-taught by Zois Boukouvalas of American University Washington DC and Ogerta Elezaj of the Alan Turing Institute in Birmingham UK.
Each course consists of ten 90-minute modules. They are certified by CDATA (cdata.com) and InsightBrains (insightbrains.com)
A 24 hr hackathon event will take place during the workshop. The winner will be awarded a bonus prize for Creative Excellence. The hackathon will be organized and managed by Genti Tola from CDATA, Tirana, Abania and Michael Robinson of American University.
Various Albanian startups will join our workshop and share their experiences with our participants.
Financial support for student participants will be available.
